Nature and color are the inspirations for my art. In my daily practice of meditation and my hours of sitting at the loom I find connection to earth and heaven. The act of weaving is ancient. I am grateful to carry this forward. Color, texture, and abstract design thrill me. The precision of matching colors, counting threads, and balancing forms in a woven tapestry is full of satisfaction and delight for me. I hope to convey that in the finished piece. Wedge weave, developed by Diné (Navajo) weavers, is a vehicle for this exploration. I honor and respect the weavers of that tradition.
